The company was officially founded in 1969 in Belpasso, near Catania, in eastern coast of Sicily.
In the first, small laboratory, breadsticks, loaves of bread for breadcrumbs and Daisino, the first and most famous Dais snacks, were baked.
The commercial and technological growth allows new product creations, always appreciated for their taste and authenticity. Today DAIS S.p.A. is leader in Sicilian and national confectionery industry, thanks to the craftsmanship in the processing and the quality and territoriality of the ingredients. Internationally, it shows positive trends in the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France and other countries.
The plant, located in Piano Tavola, has a surface area of 16,000 square meters and sees the creation of quality products, obtained from selected raw materials, using recipes of master pastry chefs. An advanced industrial apparatus alternates production lines dedicated to croissants, snacks, bread derivates, panettone and pandoro, colomba cakes, almond milk, nougats, and almond cookies.
The internal laboratory monitors the production process and carries out daily chemical-physical and microbiological analyses. The highest quality standards has allowed us to obtain IFS certification (International Food Standard)
